I use module level attributes to keep track of things like revision letter, release date, change notice id, etc. These are then used during document export to populate fields. I'd like to create a dxl attribute which pulls each of these attribute values for each major baseline in the history and puts it in a simple table or tab separated list. This would then be the complete revision history of the document. For Example, with attribute Names Effectivity, Authority, Rev Ltr, Date the output might look like: |
Re: Module Level DXL Attribute This does not sound like a good time for Attr DXL, since the value that you are calculating will not change, and you do NOT want attrDXL opening baselines and querying things each times the reference is needed; that would take too long. It would be pretty trivial to write an on-demand script to do this calculation and store it into a normal module-level string attribute, then you are done with it.
